Breast cancer is the number one form of cancer present in women. Early detection and treatment could save a life. Survival rates are reported to be around 80% - 90% in developed parts of the world. The key in combating breast cancer is early detection via a mammogram.
A mammogram is whereby several X-ray images are taken to examine to breast of any unusual presence of lumps. During the procedure, the breast is compressed and the radiologist takes X-ray images from multiple angles.
